AB-CT technology partner Direct Conversion has opened its Application Innovation Centre (AiC) in Graefelfing, Munich and held its 1st International Symposium on Photon Counting Technologies & Applications on July 5th/6th 2019.
AB-CT is delighted to have been invited as guest speaker and present our breast-CT scanner nu:view to a high-calibre audience. nu:view uses single photon-counting X-ray detector, a joint development of AB-CT and Direct Conversion, which allows for a very high image resolution coupled with low radiation dose.
Willi Kalender, founder and scientific advisor of AB-CT, gave an honorary lecture about the historical development of the computed tomographie over the last three decades. CTO Daniel Kolditz shared his expert insights from a technological perspective .
His presentation was complemented by Prof. Dr. Boss‘s, Chief Physician at the Universitätsspital Zurich and first user of nu:view, who talked about his experience of the medical application of this disruptive technology.
Interested parties were also able to get a close impression of the life-size nu:view mock-up in the AiC showroom.
